Straight lines

Straight lines

If there is one thing I have recently learned, then it is that there are no straight lines in nature. Nothing is perfectly straight. Yes, there are beautiful patterns in nature, with amazing symmetry. The way a flower is built up in a beautiful pattern, or how ants operate and live together. These come across as perfect systems, but they rarely have straight lines.
Why does it seem then, that we are always looking for symmetry and perfect lines, when that is just an illusion? Maybe because of that, the illusion, the imagination and the mind that wants everything to be perfect. Perfect does not exist, as we all know, and it is useless to aim for it as well. Imperfection might be the only perfect thing there is. There are no rules for patterns or symmetry, because there are far too many exceptions to these rules, just like the straight lines on my face, that are not perfectly straight either. .
