You are a rebel by nature

Many of you know that I practice yoga everyday. It might be one of my single most defining coping strategies to investigate life and its purpose. This morning as I stepped off the mat, my practice done and about to hit relaxation mode (often called sukhasana/savasana), I had a short chat with my teacher about the little backpain I had this morning. As he knows me incredibly well, he knows what I am doing wrong, and he knows I am aware of it too. He said to me “You are a rebel by nature”. Stubborn as I am, I agreed.
Sometimes you need a little pain to learn about yourself. I am not promoting pain in any form, but yes, I do believe that whenever it occurs, on whatever level, it has the potential to bring you further in life. We don’t need it necessarily, but it might help. Question everything you do, and think of what the purpose of it is, emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually. Question it, and sometimes, rebel against it.
